Project Profiles

Xerxes was the manufacturer of choice for 200,000 gallons of underground diesel fuel storage for a new hospital under construction in the Denver, Colorado, area. We supplied four 12’-diameter, 50,000-gallon double-wall tanks, each one over 68 feet long.

The installing contractor, Platt Rogers Construction of Lakewood, Colorado, was involved in the final tank design, burial parameters and tank options for this fueling system that falls under a mission-critical level of importance to the overall long term successfulness of the hospital.

Some of the design criteria that helped in making the decision to use our tanks for this project were:
– Our advanced Parabeam 3D glass fabric adds to the structural integrity of the two walls.
– Corrosion-resistant fiberglass has maintenance-free properties.
– The integral rib design of our robust vessel results in a structurally superior product.
