Project Profiles

A company that provides transportation services for Glacier National Park required 17,000 gallons of fire water storage for a fire sprinkler system at a new bus storage and service facility near Columbia Falls, MT, near the entrance to the park. The well on the rural property did not produce enough flow to supply the sprinkler system in case of a fire.

Jackola Engineering in Kalispell, MT, contacted Xerxes because the volume required was more than could be provided by local concrete pre-casters, and cast-in-place concrete was deemed not cost-effective or reliable.

Xerxes worked with a local distributor and was able to provide an 8-foot diameter, 17,000-gallon tank that exactly met the volume requirements. We utilized our Edmonton, AB, factory for this project due to favorable shipping rates and lead times, and delivered a fully assembled tank complete with internal ladder to the site on the date requested by the contractor. The tank was installed and the new facility was operating in time for the 2015 tourist season.
